Lost and Found is a portrait of my journey since Katrina. My neighbor found his mail box in the rubble that was once my cottage in Waveland. My husband found his guitar safe and sound in the attic of that same cottage. He made his way to Baton Rouge after riding out the storm on the coast of Mississippi. My husband returned to me after being missing for four days. I thought he was dead. Our birdfeeder stood untouched by the wind and water. The painting underneath was returned to me, minus the frame. I took the bits and pieces of treasures that I found after loosing just about everything and placed it over my returned painting. I went from three houses to homeless in one day. I have rebuilt my life, my home and my heart. Lost and Found is a portrait of that journey.
